Charlie & Levi are two sweet little ones that will soon join our family....Not because we thought it sounded cool, not because we thought it might be fun, BUT because God commands us to take care of the orphans and widows and We know it's part of his plan for US. God Never said being a Christ follower would be EASY. There is no Easy Button in this Precious Life that Christ has given me. My God does NOT want me to avoid things because they are hard or because people might think I am crazy or weird. He does not want me to avoid where He is leading my family. And...I do NOT EVER want to miss out on what Jesus is really about! I want my life to be a life that glorifies Him! Going against what's normal or typical or ordinary is sometimes HARD, but SO incredibly worth it! Yes... Adoption is Hard, Adoption is Amazing, And Adoption IS the Gospel of Christ. And for us there is no alternative because Adoption Is God's Heart.

Ok...... We are now 6 days away from LEAVING to meet Charlie & Levi:) Yay!!! We are seriously CLOSE!!!! I really can't believe it!!! God is so good and we are thankful for his direction & provision. As we begin to scratch off items on our TO DO list, we still see that we are short $2400.00. Documents Approved!!!!

Our documents have been approved by the SDA!!!!! Yay!!!!!! We should have our SDA date very soon!!!!! Praise God!!!!

No News, Lost my blog template, BUT Still Rockin' Along:)

So, as Friday has passed by, still no news about whether or not our last docs were approved or if we have a court date:( God's timing, not MINE...As you can see the blog has a NEW look. Because I was trying to save my template because thecutestblogontheblock.com site was changing who stores there images. I managed to loose it completely and I am working on a getting the header redone so I can get my OLD look back up (Which I loved). I am getting really great at Redoing many things. Ha!! Monday is a holiday in the boys country so I am guessing we will not hear anything 'til later in the week. Trust me you will know when we hear something:) Keep praying...

Documents Have Arrived!!!!

Our documents have made it safely to our facilitator in Eastern Europe!!! Yay!!! Please pray over the next few days that these documents are approved:) We are Oh So Close!!!! Hopefully the next post you see will have our TRAVEL DATE!!!!

Our Documents are in PARIS!!!! Which means tomorrow they will be YOU KNOW WHERE!!!Hee! Hee!!! Continue to pray that they are satisfactory to the SDA. All in God's Hands:)

Tracking The FINAL Documents

The Documents are on there way to Eastern Europe!!!! Whew!! This is our 4th and hopefully our LAST Fedex package to track as it travels...It really becomes an obsession as I check periodically to see where it is. Ha! It really is amazing how something can get from my house to an office on the other side of the world in 3 days!! Love You Fedex!!!

FINAL DOCUMENTS

3 proofed, signed & notarized documents are on their way to Austin to be Apostilled. Thank You to Mr. Thompson for so graciously getting them apostilled and delivered to Fed-ex for us. Tomorrow at this time they will be on their way to Eastern Europe!!! Whoop Whoop!!!! PLEASE cover these documents with prayer. We are SO ready to see our little men.

"Whatever It Takes"

OK...For those of you wondering what's going on. We have spent the last couple of weeks sending documents to Charlie & Levi's country to figure out exactly what they are wanting from us as far as our LEASE documents. What we sent originally is all they have asked for in the past, but they have now decided to ask for more documentation:( So, HOPEFULLY we have these 3 documents PERFECT for them. Very repetitive and very frustrating, but like I've said before, "Whatever It Takes." We will have these documents ready to be sent monday and they should have the notarized/apostilled documents in their hands by thursday. Please pray specifically for these documents and for the other families dealing with the same issue!!!! If the SDA accepts them we will finally get our travel date:) It is ALL in God's hands...

Connor NEEDS A Mommy & Daddy....

Andrea at Reece's Rainbow has asked us (RR families) to spread the word about the children with significant GRANTS to be used for their adoption expenses. This is money donated by individuals to these children's grants in the hope that it will help them find families quicker. Adoption is not cheap but saving the life of a child and giving them a family of their own is priceless! We have chosen to advocate for Connor to help him find a home.

Connor Born June 2006

Connor was born a TWIN with a healthy fraternal twin brother. Mom left Connor at the orphanage and took the other boy home. Connor had a heart condition at birth, but has had corrective surgery and is completely healthy now. He is quite high functioning...strong, happy, active, social, and affectionate. He is walking/running and doing great. But now he is facing the mental institution, so we need a loving family for him quickly.

Connor's case is URGENT and PIVOTAL in the successful adoption of other children with Down syndrome from this region.
