Our Journey To Charlie & Levi...

After 17yrs of marriage and "8" amazing children, God has continued to keep the fire for adoption burning in our hearts. Crazy?... Maybe?!?! But....Doesn't God call all of us to do CRAZY things for him? Isn't that what it means to Live for Christ? To make a difference ONE orphan at a time. So after months of praying that this little guy would find a forever family, he FINALLY has!! OUR FAMILY!! Join us as we pray, cry, fill out mounds of paperwork & fundraise to bring our son home. We give God all the glory for choosing to adopt us & for giving us the opportunity to Choose Charlie...And because we could not get Zhora(Levi) off our minds and God obviously placed him in our hearts... We're bringing him home too!!

The Empty Bed...

In the corner of the boys room sits a little empty bed, waiting for a son, a brother, a nephew, a cousin, a grandson to lay his sweet head. It's now known as "Charlie's Bed." A reminder everytime I walk into that room to PRAY for our son that sleeps in the same little bed on the other side of the world, not knowing that he has a Mommy & Daddy that already love him. I am so thankful that there are a couple of other families that are going to the same orphanage before us to bring their children home. I can't wait for them to whisper in his little ear and tell him, " Your Mommy & Daddy are coming soon."

Jonathan & Tate are so excited to share their room with such a special boy!!!

  1. What a great bed for such a cute kid! This just makes me smile. :)

  2. Wendy...The room looks sooo cute. And, the bed looks so similar to the one he is sleeping in at the orphanage. We did the same thing for Bella by finding a similar bed after seeing hers in the orphanage. It has worked beautifully! All the little children sleep on their backs with their hands behind their heads. I guess it works for crowd control? :)

He will love it! Love, Paula

  3. first off I LOVE the little bed!! SO CUTE!! also how do you keep their room so neat? My sons room is a disaster ALL THE TIME. I made the mistake of cleaning it FIRST before homestudy and by the time it was hs time a week later I had to clean it again! oh how I long to have a clean organised house, but I am a packrat my children have way too many toys and I dont have a lot of storage space.
